Working with the same client for years allows us to build more than just projects: we build a relationship based on trust, mutual understanding and continuous improvement. This is certainly the case with Camping Cala d’Ostia, a unique spot in Sardinia with which we have been working for a decade.
Our partnership began in 2016, when we undertook the first redesign of their website. Since then, we have supported the campsite as it has evolved, adapting its brand identity and communications to the changing demands of the digital landscape and the business itself. Recently, we had the opportunity to carry out a second redesign, building on all our previous work and taking another step towards a more polished and efficient digital experience.
A user-centred redesign
The redesign of the Camping Cala d’Ostia website is based on a clear premise: to enhance the user experience without losing sight of the essence that defines the brand. It is not a question of starting from scratch, but of building on what already exists.
To this end, key elements such as the colour palette and original typefaces – which form part of the campsite’s visual identity – have been retained. However, significant work has been done on the organisation of the content and the visual hierarchy, resulting in a cleaner, clearer and more intuitive interface.
The result is a much smoother browsing experience, where users can quickly find the information they need, whether it’s about accommodation, services or rates. All of this contributes to a more satisfying experience and, consequently, to higher conversion rates.
Optimising navigation and performance
One of the cornerstones of the project has been improving the navigation structure. The menu system has been simplified to make it clearer and more accessible, reducing friction in the user’s journey through the website.
In addition, work has been carried out on fundamental technical aspects such as loading speed and accessibility. A fast website not only improves the user experience but also has a direct impact on search engine rankings.
Performance optimisation has been key to ensuring the site runs efficiently in any context, including on slower connections or less powerful devices.
Responsive design: optimised for all devices

For this reason, the redesign of the Camping Cala d’Ostia website has included full adaptation to different screen sizes. The user experience remains consistent and functional on computers, tablets and smartphones alike.

Integration of the booking system
One of the key elements of the project is the booking engine, which was already implemented during the first redesign in 2016. In this second phase, the focus has been on redesigning its interface to ensure it fits seamlessly with the website’s new look. This system allows users to make bookings quickly and easily without leaving the site, ensuring a seamless experience that is consistent with the rest of the digital environment.

Digital menu accessible via QR code
As part of the project’s development, we have also implemented a digital menu solution accessible via a QR code, designed specifically for the campsite’s pizza bar. This tool allows customers to view the menu quickly and conveniently, without the need for physical contact.
The digital menu has been developed using the eMenu Digital platform, ensuring simple, clear navigation that is adapted to any device. Furthermore, it facilitates real-time content updates, allowing the client to manage changes to products, prices or availability efficiently.
This implementation not only enhances the user experience but also optimises internal processes and reinforces the campsite’s modern and functional image.

Beyond the web: a comprehensive design project
Our collaboration with Camping Cala d’Ostia is not limited to the digital sphere. Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive project spanning various areas of design and communication.
We have designed the campsite’s signage, creating a cohesive visual system that improves visitor navigation and reinforces the site’s identity. We have also worked on printed materials such as leaflets and tablecloths, paying close attention to every detail to convey a professional and appealing image.
Furthermore, we have created vinyl graphics for the campsite’s pizzeria, adding personality and aesthetic consistency to this dining area. Each of these elements contributes to building a strong and recognisable brand experience.


Social media management: connecting with the audience
Another key aspect of our collaboration has been managing the campsite’s social media accounts. In an industry as competitive as tourism, maintaining an active and well-curated online presence is essential.
We have worked on content creation, post scheduling and defining a visual and communication style that aligns with the campsite’s identity. The aim has been to connect with the audience, convey the essence of the place and generate interest among potential visitors.
Social media thus becomes a natural extension of the brand, reinforcing all the work carried out on other channels.

The case of Camping Cala d’Ostia is a clear example of how a project can evolve over time without losing its essence. Every intervention, from the initial restyling to the most recent, has aimed to improve, optimise and adapt, without disrupting what already works.
